Smoking is the act of breathing in or breathing out the smoke of tobacco or drug. We often get aggressive when anyone stops us to smoke, but in reality, it causes harm which is untreatable at all costs. Yes, smoking affects the eggs of a female and creates a problem in inducing pregnancy. Cigarette smoke contains nicotine, cyanide, carbon-monoxide and over carcinogens, and these toxin reactive species intend to damage the fragile eggs in the women body and can eventually lead to the state of ‘miscarriage’, if the egg is fertilized by the sperm, and can lower the chance of pregnancy.
Smoking decreases the number of eggs and can create problem in conceiving, in a time span of one year, of attempting pregnancy. 13% of infertility can be caused by smoking. The eggs that die due to smoking, cannot be given the space of rebirth. According to a scientific fact, women who smoke consistently, have their menopause, 4 to 5 years earlier. Even the IVF(In Vitro Fertilization), cannot help women to achieve pregnancy properly. Moreover, Smoking can cause ectopic pregnancy(Ectopic pregnancy is when a pregnancy grows outside of your uterus, usually in your fallopian tube. Ectopic pregnancies are rare but serious, and they need to be treated.) and even Preterm labor (Preterm labor is labor that begins before 37 completed weeks of pregnancy. Although the exact definitions may vary, preterm labor may include one, or more, of the following: Uterine contractions accompanied by cervical changes. Rupture of the amniotic sac (membranes) Cervical dilatation (opening of the cervix)).
All the above points indicate that smoking(less or more), is harmful to the eggs, as it can create so many so many complications, so it is better to prevent it. As, we all know smoking has lot more heath-destructive characteristics, and so, it is better to stop it, and if you decide to stop, then obviously, no power in the world can stop you.
